Safeguarding at Trinity

At Trinity Church & Centre, we are committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of the children, young people & vulnerable adults within our church community. This of course, includes good Health & Safety practice in all aspects of our work.

We want all our groups within Trinity to function safely and happily.

Trinity is committed to ensuring that everyone working with children, young people & vulnerable adults:

  • has DBS check (criminal records check)

  • is adequately trained & supervised

  • understands & follows Trinity’s safeguarding policy

Trinity has appointed Helen Pickard as Safeguarding co-ordinator.

Parents/carers are of course welcome to come and see what goes on in any of our groups. Please speak to the group leader.

At Trinity we take the safeguarding of children & vulnerable adults very seriously. We have a Safeguarding policy from the Methodist Church which is reviewed annually. Please ask in the office if you would like to see a copy.

If you have any concerns regarding the safety or welfare of a child or vulnerable adult connected to Trinity you can always speak to our minister, Revd Peter Holwell,

0191 284 6042. or Peter.holwell@methodist.org.uk
